Rock Towers on the Beach: Photos

I was inspired by this artist on Main Beach who created stacks of balancing rock towers among the bare rocks exposed by the receding of the sands in winter. I only caught his first name, Larry, but I got that he was a local artist, and I'll likely see him again.

His towers were lovingly created, as you can see from the first set of pictures.  The stones were painstakingly chosen for their symbolic or unique shapes.  How he managed to create the archway, I do not know.

The artist, Larry, at work.

Now come the towers I created. A lot less elegant, and with no obvious symbolic meaning, but nonetheless, organic, spontaneous art, from the heart, using the natural resources available.

Abstract Cartoony Vision Paintings - Acrylics on Masonite Board

More paintings from a few years ago.
The first three are from visions I saw in my mind's eye.
The last one, just a random character doodled in a sketchbook.

These paintings are from a few years ago.  I am going through and cataloging all my old work.  Any piece of mine you see that you like is available for purchase.

Some art that I created a few years back.  Stream of consciousness stuff. No plan, just letting it flow.

Burning Man 2015 Photos: Part 1: Giant Pile of Captionless Photos!

Hello, dear reader of my blog.
I had wished to narrate the entire saga of my amazing Burning Man 2015 experience, complete with captioned photos, over the span of several in-depth posts.

Sadly, I haven't gotten around to it, and now I'm busy with Summer work and preparing for this year's burn.
So, instead, I will leave all my pics here without captions, for you to view and ogle.  If you have any questions about what you see and would like more explanation, please leave them in the comments section.
Like other art I have posted, I believe the images speak for themselves.

Burning Man is a place so alien and unexplainable, that all the exposition in the world could not lay bare for you my experience.  The only way is to experience it yourself, which I do not recommend in the slightest, unless you have a Burning desire to go, in which case, I encourage you to obey that desire.

That's all for now, except to say that I had a blast, am glad I went, and thrilled to be going again!

Looking out the Dave dome.  Not much of a view this year.
