Hawaii 2012 Photos, Part 2: Waimea canyon, art house construction in Hanapepe


What a memorable trip!  Would really love to live there again.  I lived there with my folks when I was 3-5 years old. The life is so relaxed and laid-back.  The climate is gentle and fresh fruit falls from the trees.  Not to mention, chickens run wild all around the island.

This house was under construction in the coastal art-town of Hanapepe.

It was going to be an arty kind of house, from the looks of it.

A lot of junk, that was going to be turned into stuff...

Like the perimeter wall, made of old rusting metal parts.

Ok, fine. Doesn't look safe anyway.

Plumeria naturally flourish in this wet climate.
